How to Send an Email from AMI on an iPhone
AMI uses Apple's Mail app on your phone or tablet to send email messages to your contacts. If you are finding you're unable to send emails from AMI to your contacts, this is probably because you have not set up the Mail app with at least one email address.
Setting up the Mail app on your iPhone or iPad
If you don't have the Mail app installed yet on your iPhone, search for Mail on your Apple device's App Store first and download it. Once you've downloaded the app, follow the instructions below to connect your email to the Mail app.
You can always use your preferred mail app to read and respond to emails the way you normally do. The Mail app will be used to only send emails from AMI.
How to connect your email to Apple's Mail App
- Go to the Settings app on your iPhone or iPad.
- Scroll until you see Mail (under Passwords). Tap it.
- Tap Accounts.
- Tap Add Account.
- Select the email type you're looking to add (follow the resulting steps to connect to your email account).
Once this account is added, you can go back to the AMI app and tap "Email" to send an email from anywhere. *Note: If you're still experiencing issues with the email option in AMI, try turning the green toggle off and back on under the appropriate email account in your device settings following step 4 above.
